We need to stop seeing rest as medication to be taken only when we’re worn down.
Rest is a part of a balanced spiritual diet, something to be worked into every meal. We can be restful as we work, play, explore, learn and intercede.
It’s a perspective seasoned with humility, surrender, discipline, contentment and trust. These are things we can cultivate which will help us to live in long-term rest. The reflections we’ve been following together have helped our minds to shift into a fresh perspective which will help us to recharge as we walk through life with Jesus in any situation.
This week, we encourage you to spend time with God, asking the Holy Spirit for a plan to incorporate restfulness into your life permanently.
We pray over you that you would flourish in the rest of God. May you move from strength to strength in His provision and grace as He guides you along His path for your life.
