Stuart Bell is the Senior Pastor of Alive Church, a growing multi site church with several locations in the UK. He is leader of the Ground Level Network, a network of around 90 churches and Partners For Influence UK, a group of leaders representing influential churches and ministries across the UK. Stuart is actively involved in a number of national leadership forums and is an international speaker and teacher often working into both America and South Africa. Stuart has written four books.
Married to Irene, Stuart has three children and 5 grandchildren.
In 2016 Stuart was awarded a British Empire Medal for services to the community in Lincolnshire.
Paul is married to Jeannie and together they lead IKON Church, a church they started in 1987 and currently Ikon has 4 locations, Chesterfield, Derby, Sheffield and Mansfield. Paul is a member of the Ground Level Executive Team and also leads the Ground Level Strategy Team. His passion is to “build relevant contemporary churches and inspire a generation to to do the same”. His hobbies include golf, reading and vinyl records.
In addition to chairing the Directors & Exec Team of Ground Level, David is the senior leader of City Church (Great Grimsby & NE Lincolnshire). He also chairs the board of Directors for CARE (Christian Action Resource & Enterprise) a charity located in NE Lincolnshire, dedicated to relieving poverty, hardship and distress to those in need in the local community. He represents Ground Level on the board of trustees of Churches Together in All Lincolnshire. David is married to Ann-Marie; they have three grown up children and five grandchildren, and is an avid follower of F1 motor racing.
Pete and his wife Kath lead Threshold, which is a Ground Level church, and he is Team Coordinator of the national Fresh Expressions team. Pete and Kath are in the later stages of converting a grade 2 listed barn which is their home and the heart of a prayer-based community in Bardney, Lincolnshire. Pete loves doing ‘barn time’, which is the continued practicalities of making it fit for purpose. He’s often to be found out walking in various parts of the county. Pete and Kath have five grown-up, married children and nine grandchildren so far!
Mark Hopkins serves as a Director for Ground Level, and is part of the Strategy team overseeing the Leadership Engine – Ground Level’s leadership training course.
He is part of The King’s Church in Nottingham where he works full time. Mark has a desire to see individuals and churches released into their full potential in God. He also wants to see unity and partnership across the church and oversees the churches together in Arnold, and is part of the Nottingham City Prayer vision team.
Alongside all of this he enjoys cycling, playing tennis, following Arsenal and being with his family (Sarah and two grown up daughters)
Nigel is married to Judy; they have 5 children and 2 grandchildren and one foster child.
Although born and raised in Mablethorpe, Nigel has travelled extensively whilst working and training firstly as a marine engineer and latterly as a director of a family manufacturing and engineering service company.
Nigel is Pastor of Hope House Church – Mablethorpe, initially juggling this alongside his family business but now working full time for the Church. The Church is increasingly involved in tackling coastal deprivation.
Serving on the Ground level Executive Team, Nigel brings his experience of a business background and pastoring in a small rural community.
Nigel’s hobbies are local history and anything engineering.
Helen is a member of the Ground Level Executive Team. She is a Pastor and part of the Senior Leadership Team of Riverside Church in Southwell, Nottingham, alongside her husband Andy who is the Worship Pastor. Helen and Andy have two teenage children, Grace and Toby, as well as a mischievous beagle called Lily, all of whom appear frequently in Helen’s sermons!
Helen is passionate about local church and loves to inspire and encourage people to hear God’s voice and to live out their faith. As well as juggling parenthood and church leadership, Helen loves going out for breakfast with friends and having a good chat over a coffee!
Phil has been part of Ground Level since 1991, joining the Exec Team in 2003 and becoming a director in 2004. Along with his wife Johanna, they are Connection Leaders for the Anglia region, covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. Phil and Johanna have been church leaders and church planters for more than thirty years and are currently serving as Location Pastors in Alive, based in Norwich. They are passionate about the Church rising up to its potential, working in unity and seeing Kingdom transformation. Phil and Johanna, have two adult sons, two chihuahuas and two classic cars.
Margaret is a member of the Ground Level Executive Team and along with her husband John is Co-Senior Leader of The Well, Retford Baptist Church, Retford. Her passion is to see people, young or old, empowered to be the best they can be in Christ and see God working in and through them.
She enjoys reading and listening to music. She likes trying ‘all things new’ and to that end she has an eclectic collection of both books and music!
Joy Blundell is part of the Ground Level Strategic Team and leads the strategic objective “Influence” which is about equipping churches to empower people to lead and influence in every sphere of life. Alongside her husband Paul, Joy is Location Pastor of Alive Lincoln. She has a heart for the restoration and transformation of cities through the mobilisation of the local church. Joy and Paul have been married for 15 years and they have two children. Joy loves fresh air, walking in the hills, eating good food and drinking wine with friends.
Howard Williams is the Executive Pastor of Alive Church. He is passionate about seeing the local church take its position as the hope of the world, and developing ways to see the church multiply. For Ground Level, Howard oversees sung worship for key gatherings such as the Leadership Conference and One Event. Howard is married to Claire and they have 3 sons.
Dave Bell is the worship pastor for Alive Church Lincoln and he is also the lead singer for the band The Moment. Dave is a songwriter, author and is passionate about sharing his story of hope and helping lead the church in worship. He is married to Sarah, and has 3 miracle children. Dave is a part of the ONE Event worship team and sits on the Ground Level Strategy team.
Nathan is one of the Pastors at IKON Church, one of his main roles is as youth pastor to the vibrant IKON Youth. Nathan is married to Debbie and they have one son, Zion. He is also a semi professional footballer and if you ever give him the chance he will let you know that he played with Jamie Vardy.
Paul Bedford and his wife Julie are leaders of Hope House in central Barnsley, a growing and thriving church serving the local community; connecting real people to a real God in real life. Paul serves Ground Level by leading the North Connection of churches and chairing the Connection leaders meetings. Paul is also a part of the GL Strategy Team. Locally, he works alongside Barnsley Central Council and others. They have a passion for creating community, building team and training emerging leaders. Paul runs marathons, enjoys history, motorcycles and his very old sports car, and he paints (pictures not walls). Paul and Julie have two adult children, Robert and Megan, both are involved in Hope House life.
Steve is the senior leader of Riverside Church, Southwell and leads the Midlands Connection of Churches. He passionately believes in relational support and that no leader should stand alone in ministry. Strong and lasting friendships have emerged between the Midlands Churches. Leaders meet together every month or two and the churches have the opportunity to gather together every so often for joint Celebrations. Steve married Sue 38 years ago and they both lead busy lives with their children and grandchildren. Steve has been at Riverside Church for the last 48 years and his priority is to now safely transition the church into the next generation of leadership.
Sim Dendy is married to Lottie with 4 children, Izaak, Levi, Floella and Jemimah. He is the Senior Leader of Freedom Church in Romsey, a beautiful market town in the South of England. As a leader himself for over 20 years, Sim believes everything rises and falls on leadership and is committed to training, mentoring and releasing leaders for churches, charities and other agencies all around the world. He serves as a trustee of Links International, working in over 50 nations and on the national leadership teams of Spring Harvest and Ground Level Network.
Vince Carrington is the Ground Level Connections Leader for the South West and also leads North Street Church in Taunton.
Vince is married to Jan, he has 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He loves spending time with family and friends and rugby.
Richard Bradbury leads Beverley Community Church in East Yorkshire. Married with four children and seven grandchildren, he represents Ground Level in all aspects of its relationship with Churches Together in England, of which he is also a director. Richard is also involved with the Ground Level Leadership Engine (GLE) and runs a theological Bible School of his own. He is also the author of a number of books.
In his spare time, Richard likes to walk, especially in the Lake District.
Paul was appointed to joint Operation Manager and Groundlevel Strategy team in October 18, a graphic designer by qualification, a practical online expert by experience and a genuine entrepreneur.
Paul loves a personal challenge, none more so than competing in Ironman triathlons.
John was appointed to joint Operation Manager and Groundlevel Strategy team in October 18, he is an accountant with a generous heart, with a passion to deploying his 25 years of business experience into extending God’s Kingdom.
John is a member of Alive Church with his wife and four children
Jason is the Finance Manager for Ground Level and Site Director for the ONE Event. Jason is responsible for keeping an eye on the pennies and pulling together all the practical things that make the ONE Event work and run smoothly.
In his spare time, Jason likes DIY, Cooking and spending time with his family.
