Ground Level is very excited to advertise three new opportunities within our Operations Team.
These vacancies are advertised on a flexible basis and interested candidates should talk to us should they feel particularly drawn to specific parts of the roles. It is possible that some of these roles may be combined into one position should an applicant feel they have the required skills and experience.
We would be interested in interviewing any candidates who felt they had strong skills in: Social Media management and post writing, Marketing of events and Network activities, Strong operational or administrative skills over a variety of tasks, event planning experience and a basic understanding of financial systems and processes.
Communications Officer
2 Days per week. £19-21k per annum, pro rata
Brief summary of duties
The Curation of content for email communications and Social Media.
Management of all social media accounts including scheduling posts, replying to comments and messages
Advertising and Marketing of Events, Content and Network Opportunities
Updating websites as required
Proof Reading of content supplied by others
Actively engaging with Ground Level’s audience across multiple platforms
Actively seeking to increase Ground Level’s reach across multiple platforms
The ability to listen to or watch content, writing up brief summaries and drawing out key quotations
Support the Operations team in delivering the charities activities and strategic objectives
Basic skills required
Strong computer skills
Experience of email marketing and use of various social media platforms
Excellent literacy and communication skills
High attention to detail
The ability to write in various formats such as brief summaries, blogs, letters and long-form social media posts.
Excellent organisation skills being able to forward plan and create schedules
Experience of using various software packages such as Google Drive and Microsoft Office, alongside design packages such as photoshop, canva e.t.c. (Design experience not essential)
Operations Assistant
Vacancy 1 - 2 Days per week. £18-20k per annum, pro rata, permanent following successful probationary period
Vacancy 2 - 3 Days per week. £18-20k per annum, pro rata, fixed term maternity cover position for 1 year.
Brief summary of duties
Performing a variety of administrative tasks
Taking event bookings, telephone calls and answering enquiry emails
Assisting with the planning and delivery of various events
Organising and facilitating basic office functions such as post, printing and stationery orders
Overseeing crew applications for events and following through vetting procedures
Processing Disclosure & Barring Service Checks
Basic financial responsibilities including banking, data inputting and card payment reconciliations
Basic skills required
Strong computer skills
Excellent literacy and communication skills
High attention to detail
Experience of using software packages such as Google Drive and Microsoft Office
Strong administrative and organisational skills
As key members of the Operations team these roles will be instrumental in delivering the charities activities and strategic objectives. This successful candidate(s) will be flexible in their approach, being able to adapt themselves to a variety of tasks.
