Let's Talk Relationships
Goal:
To get teenagers thinking about purity. That purity is not about external but that it starts in the heart
Pro Tip:
During this session help your youth think about how purity in a different way. That purity is a process not a destination. There are keys to the process of purity and that it’s possible to live a our life in today’s world.
Big Idea:
We live in a culture that has different views on what relationships look like. Culture tells us how are relationships should look. But what about God? What does he say?
Key Statements:
Purity is the restoration of the image of God in you.
Purity is a process not a destination.
The best fleeing is pursuing the right things.
Talk it Out:
- Name your favourite celebrity couple?
- Before tonight, how would you have described purity? (Leaders Tip: Use this question to highlight that purity is the restoration of the image of God in us and that this is a process. It's a relationship with God.)
- Read 2 Timothy 2:22. The bible tells us to flee youtbhful lusts. What would be some youthful lusts?
- 2 Timothy 2:22 talks about pursuing? What should you pursue?
- Do you have a vision for your life and your relationship present or future? Share if you feel comfortable.
